Email confirmation and manual review are entry controls, not endorsements. A profile and its photos are checked for completeness and visible platform suitability before normal discovery. These checks do not independently prove the person's name, age, history, occupation, income, faith practice, marital status, or intentions.

It is for Muslim women aged 18 or over who are seeking marriage. Registration uses a self-declared date of birth; Yahalaly does not currently perform government-ID or independent age verification.
Can I control who sees my photos?
Yes. You can choose public, blurred-until-match, or hidden-until-approved visibility. A blurred photo becomes clear after a mutual match. A hidden photo stays hidden until you approve a request.
Can someone message me before we both show interest?
No. Direct member messaging is available after mutual interest, rather than as an open inbox for any profile visitor.
Can I involve a wali, family member, or another trusted adult?
Yahalaly offers optional chaperone connections. The invited person currently needs an existing active, email-verified Yahalaly account; there is no guardian-only registration path yet. A connection alone grants no viewing access; after a mutual match, both matched adults must approve the named chaperone before a separate group conversation is created. Account display names are not identity verification. The tool does not verify a religious or legal wali relationship and never replaces either adult's consent.
Does manual review mean a member is verified or safe?
No. Manual review checks profile completeness, visible suitability, and photos for platform use. It is not government-ID verification, a background check, proof of marital status, or a guarantee of safety, truthfulness, compatibility, or outcome.
Is Yahalaly free for women?
Founding access is currently free for every member. There is no card request, pay-per-message charge, paid gift, or member-to-member payment feature. Features and pricing may change later, but an existing account cannot create an automatic charge.
