Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 11, 2026

Yahalaly is for adults pursuing serious Muslim matchmaking. These standards apply to profiles, photos, messages, guardian participation, reports, and relevant off-platform conduct connected to a Yahalaly interaction.

1) Be honest about who you are and why you are here

  • Use your own account and current, genuine photos.
  • Describe marriage intention, age, relationship status, location, work, family circumstances, faith practice, and other material details truthfully.
  • Do not impersonate, catfish, conceal an existing marriage where disclosure is material, or create a profile to investigate, embarrass, recruit, or market to members.
  • Correct information that becomes materially inaccurate.

2) Consent is ongoing and specific

  • Respect a pass, unmatch, block, request for space, or refusal to move off-platform.
  • Do not pressure someone for contact details, a meeting, family access, photos, physical affection, marriage, money, or a faster timeline.
  • A photo reveal allows viewing in context; it does not allow saving, recording, reposting, identification searches, or sharing.
  • Guardian participation never replaces an adult member's own consent.

3) Communicate with dignity

  • No threats, stalking, bullying, humiliation, sexual harassment, intimidation, blackmail, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • No hate or dehumanizing content based on race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, sex, gender, or a person's religious school, practice, or background.
  • Disagreement about compatibility, culture, or religious practice must remain respectful.
  • Do not publish private disputes or mobilize others to target a member.

4) Financial requests and commercial use are prohibited

  • Never request or solicit cash, loans, gift cards, crypto, banking access, account codes, investments, travel funds, emergency funds, or fees from another member.
  • Do not promote a business, paid service, political campaign, charity collection, recruitment scheme, or affiliate offer without explicit written authorization from Yahalaly.
  • Do not use member data for sales, lead generation, research recruitment, or profiling.

5) Protect privacy and platform security

  • Do not share another person's profile, photos, messages, reports, phone number, address, workplace, or family details without permission and a lawful reason.
  • Do not screenshot or record private content for entertainment, gossip, exposure, or retaliation.
  • Do not scrape, automate, reverse engineer, bypass photo or access controls, test vulnerabilities without authorization, or evade a suspension.
  • Report a suspected security issue privately through the channel described in the Security Policy rather than exploiting or publishing personal data.

6) Zero tolerance for severe harm

  • No sexual exploitation, trafficking, coercive control, credible violence, extortion, non-consensual intimate material, or encouragement of self-harm.
  • No person under 18 may use Yahalaly or appear as a matchmaking participant. Never sexualize, solicit, or exploit a minor.
  • No attempt to use religious, family, immigration, reputational, or financial pressure to trap or control another person.

7) Guardian mode must support, not control

  • Accept a guardian invitation only when it is genuinely intended for you.
  • Do not use guardian access for secret surveillance, coercion, gossip, or sharing beyond the agreed purpose.
  • A guardian or chaperone must follow the same privacy, conduct, and reporting rules as every member.

8) Report responsibly

Use in-app reporting when possible so relevant context can be validated. Give specific facts and preserve evidence safely. Do not file knowingly false, retaliatory, or coordinated reports.

Blocking creates immediate distance but does not automatically send a report. If conduct should be reviewed, do both. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; Yahalaly is not an emergency line.

9) Enforcement

Yahalaly may request changes, reject content, warn, restrict features, suspend, or remove an account based on severity, evidence, context, prior conduct, and safety risk. Severe conduct may result in immediate removal. The Moderation Standards explain review priorities and limitations.
