How to Choose Between Muslim Marriage Proposals: A Private Worksheet for Women
Review one proposal on its own or place two proposals in a private A/B view. Organize evidence, boundaries, verification and the next conversation without uploading identifying details or turning people into a score.
Review status: Editorially reviewed for women-first language, consent, privacy, fraud warnings, progressive verification, non-directive consultation wording and the absence of a score or winner. No named scholar, lawyer, financial professional, clinician, counselor or safeguarding specialist has reviewed this edition. Editorial policy

Start with your freedom to decide
A proposal is not an obligation, and comparison should not become a race to reward the most polished answer. Review each person against your actual boundaries and the marriage being proposed. You may slow down, ask one more question, seek perspective, pause or decline without proving that someone is a bad person.
Evidence before impressions
Prefer specific recent conduct and ordinary-life examples over labels, intensity, status or future promises.
Boundaries are not points
A material boundary cannot be canceled out by several appealing qualities or a higher total—this tool never calculates one.
Verify progressively
Check only material facts, at the appropriate stage, through independent and consent-based routes that protect both people's privacy.
One proposal or private A/B view · no score · no winner
Review evidence, questions and boundaries privately
Use a short label or initials only. Choose the status that describes what you actually know today. The worksheet generates unresolved questions and a next-conversation plan; it never ranks people, recommends a proposal, predicts a marriage or issues a religious ruling.
Private labels
Use A, B, initials or another neutral label—never contact details or an exact location.
What each status means
- Clear from evidence
- I have specific, consistent examples or appropriately checked facts—not only a polished claim.
- Needs an example
- The answer is broad or idealized. A recent, ordinary-life example would make it clearer.
- Independently verify
- This material fact should be checked through a source I locate independently at the appropriate stage.
- Material boundary
- This affects what I can freely consent to and should not be averaged against attractive qualities.
- Seek qualified help
- The question needs the right scholar, lawyer, financial professional, clinician, counselor, or safety service.
Character is better evidenced by repeated conduct, especially when plans fail or power is unequal.

Unresolved questions and next-conversation plan
This plan repeats only items marked for an example, independent verification, a material boundary or qualified help. It does not add points, compare totals, choose a winner or recommend accepting or refusing a proposal.
Plan for A
No unresolved item is selected yet. Work through the areas without rushing to mark an answer clear; an empty status is more honest than an assumption.
Only the blank canonical page URL can be shared from this tool. Labels and selections are never attached.
What this worksheet cannot establish
It is not a fatwa, counseling, identity check, background check, safety assessment, compatibility certificate or recommendation. A clear worksheet answer cannot establish truthfulness, conduct under pressure, chemistry, future behavior or marital success. Yahalaly does not receive the selections and cannot review them.
Do not mediate coercion away: threats, stalking, sexual pressure, blackmail, trafficking, isolation, financial solicitation or non-consensual involvement call for safety and specialist support, not another comparison conversation. For immediate danger, contact the emergency services where you are located.

Frequently asked questions
Can this checklist tell me which marriage proposal to choose?
No. It does not score, rank or recommend either person, and it cannot predict a marriage. It organizes what you consider clear from evidence, what needs an example or independent check, which issue is a material boundary, and where qualified help may be appropriate. The final decision remains yours, made with free consent and whatever trusted or qualified support you choose.
Is comparing two proposals allowed in this worksheet?
The A/B mode is a private organizational view, not a competition. It deliberately provides no totals or winner. Consider each proposal on its own evidence, unresolved questions, boundaries and practical plan. Use labels or initials only, and do not enter another person's name or contact details.
Does this page save labels or answers?
The interactive component keeps labels and selections in temporary page memory only. It does not intentionally submit them to Yahalaly or write them to an account, server, cookie, local storage, session storage or the URL. Browser restoration, extensions, screenshots, printing and device features remain outside Yahalaly's control, so reset before leaving a shared device.
What counts as independent verification?
It means finding the appropriate source yourself instead of relying only on a link, document, phone number or contact supplied and controlled by the person making the claim. Verification should be progressive, proportionate, consent-based and limited to facts that materially affect the marriage decision. It must not become surveillance, password demands or indiscriminate collection of private data.
Should I involve family, a wali or a scholar?
Trusted people can add perspective, notice inconsistency and help slow an urgent process, but support should not erase an adult's free consent. A suitably qualified scholar can address a specific Islamic question. Legal, financial, health, counseling and safety issues require different qualified people, often with jurisdiction-specific knowledge. No adviser can turn this worksheet into a guarantee.
What if a proposal involves pressure, threats or a request for money?
Stop treating it as an ordinary comparison item. Do not send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, account codes, documents or intimate content because of urgency, an emergency story or pressure to leave the platform. Create distance when safe, use blocking and reporting where relevant, and contact an appropriate local fraud, safeguarding, violence-support or emergency service. Yahalaly is not an emergency service.
